Matt Abney is the Senior Director, Business Operations at the Ellison Institute. He joined the team in 2021 after working for several years as an outside consultant. Matt oversees external collaborations and partnerships, real estate opportunities, and project management within the Institute. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Azusa Pacific University and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Southern California.
Prior to joining the Institute, Matt was a Corporate Managing Director of Project Management at Savills, a global commercial real estate services firm, and focused on the areas of technology, life sciences, and entertainment. He joined Savills from the Los Angeles County Community Development Commission, where he focused on growth & development opportunities for underserved communities. Outside of work, Matt enjoys time with his wife and four children and roots rabidly for Mississippi State athletics.
